Ernest P. Wagner is a Principal of Maurice Wutscher LLP. He practices in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Consumer Litigation and Cybersecurity Insurance groups, and leads the firm’s Insurance Recovery and Advisory group. Based in Chicago, he also supports the firm’s litigation matters in its Miami office.
Ernest has substantial experience in various types of commercial and insurance litigation. He has conducted more than 35 jury trials, and more than 150 arbitrations for plaintiffs and defendants. He has also successfully represented clients in numerous appeals, in various jurisdictions. Ernest also advises policyholders on insurance coverage matters.

Ernest earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Bachelor of the Arts from the University of Iowa.
He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the national Mortgage Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association, and RMA International.
Ernest is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Florida, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois (including Trial Bar) and the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Ernest has also been admitted pro hac vice in various jurisdictions around the country.
