Sept. 25, 2012 — Donald Maurice spoke to the Michigan Creditors Bar Association in Troy, Mich. on Sept. 25, at its Competing in an Environment of Compliance seminar.
Along with attorneys Kenneth Wake of Chicago and Charity Olson of Ann Arbor, Maurice discussed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s new regulations for collection firms as well as recent state attorney general actions and FTC orders.
The panel also touched on how compliance and client audits can increase opportunities and managing information security and vendor risk.

May 1, 2012 — Thomas R. Dominczyk has been named a New Jersey Rising Star in the area of Civil Litigation Defense by Super Lawyers.

April 25, 2012 — Donald Maurice will be among a panel of speakers to discuss Collection Law Tips and Strategies at a one-day seminar sponsored by the National Business Institute on May 22, at the Clarion Palmer Inn in Princeton, NJ.
Maurice will discuss compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and ethical issues in collection law. Other topics include enhancing collectibility, handling post-judgment legal concerns, and bankruptcy issues impacting collection law.
