Jan. 27, 2017 — National financial services law firm Maurice Wutscher LLP has opened a new office in Milwaukee, adding consumer financial services attorney Amy M. Salberg to manage the firm’s Wisconsin litigation matters.
Salberg will practice in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Consumer Credit Litigation, Employment Litigation and Regulatory Compliance groups.
She joins Maurice Wutscher’s skilled team of litigators who specialize in appellate law, business formation and transactions, class action litigation, commercial litigation, construction litigation, consumer credit litigation, contested bankruptcies, contested foreclosures, employment litigation, insurance recovery and advisory services, intellectual property litigation, and regulatory compliance in offices throughout the United States.
Salberg focuses her practice on counseling businesses in their relationships with customers, regulators, employees, competitors, and suppliers. She does this by preparing understandable and enforceable contracts, forming the appropriate business entity, and advising businesses regarding the increasingly complex web of laws regulating them and their interactions with others.
Salberg has specialized expertise in consumer finance law, having represented some of the largest financial institutions in the world in compliance and litigation over the course of her practice.
She also has extensive experience defending businesses against consumer disputes, including federal and class action lawsuits, with a track record of success.
She has provided counsel to community banks, credit unions, merchants, service providers, automobile dealers, food producers and distributors, marketing companies, technology companies and other businesses and non-profit organizations.
Salberg has been named to ALM’s list of Best Lawyers in Milwaukee and was inducted to the Pro Bono Honor Society by the State Bar of Wisconsin for her pro bono service to the community.
She received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She has served as a Panel Member of the American Arbitration Association, on the leadership committee of the ABA Business Law Section’s Consumer Financial Services Committee and as Assistant Secretary of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law Governing Committee.
Salberg is actively involved in her community. She currently serves as Board Director of The Threshold, Incorporated and Executive Board member of the Rotary Club of West Bend. She also volunteers for the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce and is a 2015 recipient of a Champions of Change award presented by The Volunteer Center of Washington County.
