March 24, 2026 — Maurice Wutscher attorney Erin McCampbell Paris will discuss the impact of criminal statutes on First Amendment rights on Saturday, March 28 at the Spring 2026 Conference of the First Amendment Lawyers Association in Nashville, TN.

Ms. Paris will be co-presenting on the government’s use of statutes that criminalize conduct as a means to evade its obligations under the First Amendment.  This use of criminal laws of general applicability has broad implications for First Amendment rights for all.
