Webinar: Maurice Wutscher’s Donald Maurice to Speak on Medical Debt Laws and Regulations

Donald Maurice

March 25, 2024 — Maurice Wutscher attorney Donald Maurice will give an update on medical debt collection and credit reporting laws and regulations during a webinar Wednesday, March 27 at 1 pm ET.

A growing number of states are working on legislation aimed at solving the problem of medical debt. Some states are banning medical debts from appearing on credit reports, others are limiting the interest that can be charged, and some are making it more difficult for healthcare providers and collectors to collect on a debt. This does not appear to be a problem that is going to go away anytime soon.

In this webinar, the panel will discuss the state of affairs with respect to medical debt laws and proposed legislation.
