Oct. 13, 2021 — National business and financial services law firm Maurice Wutscher LLP has added litigation attorney Jenna Tersteegen to practice in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Consumer Credit Litigation groups.
Before joining the firm, she was an associate attorney at a litigation law firm in New York City. Her practice covered New York state labor and employment laws, premises liability and property damage cases. She conducted all pre-trial aspects of litigation, including preparing case strategy and evaluation reports, taking and defending depositions, and drafting dispositive pre- and post-trial motions.
Prior to that, she worked as an assistant district attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office where she conducted many evidentiary hearings, as well as jury and bench trials as both first and second chair. She also conducted numerous non-evidentiary hearings and grand jury presentations.
Ms. Tersteegen earned her Juris Doctor from William and Mary Law School, where she received the CALI Award for Excellence in the Future in Legal Practice and was a member of the Business Law Review. She is admitted to practice law in New York, and her Illinois admission on motion is pending.
Ms. Tersteegen joins Maurice Wutscher’s skilled team of litigators who handle appellate matters, business formation and transactions, class action litigation, commercial, construction, consumer credit and employment litigation, contested bankruptcies and foreclosures, data privacy and security law and compliance, insurance recovery and advisory services, intellectual property litigation, regulatory compliance, and trials and evidentiary hearings from offices throughout the United States.
